How to use Video to GIF
GIF has a limited palette and inefficient compression, so prepare a short input first. The current page converts the complete input and has no start/end trim; use Video Trimmer beforehand when needed.
- Choose an already-short MP4, MOV, or WebM and inspect duration.
- Set GIF width, frame rate, and color count.
- Convert the complete input video.
- Inspect timing, clarity, and size before download.
Available controls
- Width: reducing it substantially lowers size
- Frame rate: 8–15 fps is common
- Colors: fewer colors are smaller but increase banding
