Output dimensions are explicit even integers suitable for H.264.

How to use Resize Video

Resizing resamples and normally re-encodes video. Upscaling cannot recover missing detail, and odd dimensions may be adjusted for the encoder.

  1. Choose video and read its source dimensions.
  2. Enter even output width and height; aspect ratio is not locked automatically.
  3. Set quality and audio bitrate, then process.
  4. Check for stretching and verify actual output dimensions.

What it helps with

  • Creates common platform dimensions
  • Media is read and transcoded in this browser tab and is not uploaded to FreeTool to perform the task.

Compatibility and limits

  • Upscaling does not add real detail
  • The current page scales to explicit dimensions without automatic ratio lock, padding, or cropping
  • High-resolution re-encoding needs substantial device memory and time

Frequently asked questions

Why are odd dimensions changed?

Common pixel formats and encoders require even width/height; the actual value is shown.

Will 4K make it clearer?

No. It cannot restore details absent from the source and usually increases size.

Is video uploaded?
