When to use it

Scale video to explicit output width and height and re-encode it as MP4. Resizing resamples and normally re-encodes video. Upscaling cannot recover missing detail, and odd dimensions may be adjusted for the encoder.

Practical example

To resize 1920×1080 to 720p, lock 16:9. Odd dimensions may be aligned to even values, so use the displayed actual output dimensions.

Steps

  1. Choose video and read its source dimensions.
  2. Enter even output width and height; aspect ratio is not locked automatically.
  3. Set quality and audio bitrate, then process.
  4. Check for stretching and verify actual output dimensions.
