How to use Image Inpainting

  1. Upload a PNG, JPG, or WebP image.
  2. Adjust the brush and cover the complete area to remove.
  3. Start repair and wait for the local LaMa model to reconstruct the background.
  4. Drag the comparison control to inspect the result, then download the repaired image.

Compatibility and limitations

  • The first use downloads an approximately 62 MB model. Speed depends on the device, and low-memory phones may not finish.
  • Complex textures, faces, large masks, and selections near an edge may need several smaller repair passes.
  • Only edit images you are allowed to use. The tool does not verify content ownership.

Privacy policy

Images and masks are processed only in this browser and are not uploaded to FreeTool. The first repair downloads an approximately 62 MB LaMa model that browsers normally cache.
