Muting removes tracks rather than lowering player volume. If the source video cannot be remuxed into MP4, video re-encoding may still be required.
- Choose video and inspect the detected audio-track count.
- Preview picture and duration.
- Remove every audio track.
- Play the result to confirm complete silence, intact picture, and correct duration.
