Mirror Smash tips and troubleshooting

Fix preview, download, mobile, and sharing issues with Mirror Smash.

How to get a better result

Place a photo in a realistic mirror, strike it repeatedly, and locally record spreading cracks and falling shards. Clear, simple input is more reliable. Start with a small test before adding more images, text, nodes, or data.

Troubleshooting

Nothing downloads

Check browser download permissions and free storage. Image and GIF generation briefly uses memory; reduce grid size, frame count, or image dimensions on mobile.

Preview and export differ

Wait for fonts and images to load before exporting. If the browser tab just resumed, refresh the preview once.

Can I share the output publicly?

You can share the generated file after checking private information, third-party copyright, and information about minors. The tool cannot determine whether you have permission.

Known boundaries

  • Images are limited to 20 MB and the mirror uses a share-friendly resolution to protect mobile memory.
  • Each recording is limited to 60 seconds. Format depends on browser support and may be WebM or MP4; files are never uploaded.
  • Sound, vibration, and video encoding support varies by browser and device.

Data handling

Data and files are processed in this browser and are not uploaded to FreeTool to generate the result.
