When to use it
Clip a decodable audio segment by start/end time and export MP3. Clip boundaries depend on audio frames and timestamps. The current page outputs MP3 only, with no WAV or fade control; MP3 is normally re-encoded and lossless frame copying is not promised.
Practical example
For 02:15–03:00 of a podcast, current output is MP3 only with no WAV or fade control. Adjust boundaries if an edge clicks.
Steps

- Enter start and end times.
- Set MP3 audio bitrate and start trimming.
- Check edges, clicks, and actual duration before download.

Test a short or lower-resolution sample first. Do not raise bitrate, sample rate, frame rate, or resolution merely to look “clearer”; re-encoding cannot recover information missing from the source.

Real limits and device requirements

FFmpeg WebAssembly in a browser depends on device CPU, memory, and bundled codecs. It is not native desktop FFmpeg performance and does not support every codec sharing an extension. Keep the page active; phones, long/high-resolution media, and large files fail more easily.

Why is there a click at the edge?
A non-zero-crossing cut can jump. The current page has no fade control, so adjust the start/end position.
Can MP3 be cut losslessly?
Some frame-aligned copies are possible, but this workflow may re-encode for timing and compatibility.
